The Dogs and Us Dubh and Pye Jek and Taghan Ruraich and Ghillie Guestbook

The Dogs and Us

We are keen supporters of all Field Sports and have marched at all of the various Countryside rallies. Our interest and enthusiasm stems from our love of working spaniels and our daughter's passion for all things equine, including hunting. We currently have six dogs. Five are cocker Spaniels; - Dubh - a black dog, Jek - a liver roan dog, Dubh's son Pyro - a black dog, Ruraich - a black dog and Taghan - a liver roan dog. The sixth and youngest is an Irish Water Spaniel called Ghillie. He is a very different looking spaniel to the cockers and considerably bigger as you will see from the "group" photos. Sadly Midge our liver and white English Springer is no longer, having made the final visit to the vet on 27th November 2005, aged 11. The dogs are working dogs during the season but they are a constant joy for an entire twelve months. Their love and loyalty is unconditional (well maybe food has a small part to play!) and they are a never ending source of fascination and amusement.
